SSP Shooters Shine in the State Sporting Clays Championship

South St. Paul Rod & Gun Club shooters represented themselves and the Club well at the Minnesota State Sporting Clays Championship, held August 25-28, 2016. Full results are available here.

Dan 1In the Prelim event, Dan Field, pictured here, took High Overall (HOA) with a score of 97; Parker Field tied for second in class AA, and Max Bunning tied for 1st in B. Notable concurrent class places in the Prelim were taken by Pam Nesheim, Max Bunning, Dylan Burns, Parker Field, Nate Wannebo, and Craig Mortenson.

 

Nate WanneboNate Wannebo, pictured here,  was HOA in the FITASC event. Dylan Burns tied for 1st in Master class. In AA, Parker Field was 1st and John Wiederholt was 2nd. In B, Max Bunning was 1st and Kevin Burns was 2nd, and Paul Wiederholt was 3rd in C class. Concurrent places included Pam Nesheim, Nate Wannebo, Dylan Burns, Gabe Markworth, John Wiederholt, Jim Noel, Craig Mortenson, and Steve Jensen.

In the main Sporting Clays event, Max Bunning took 1st in B class, and Chad Ruiz was 1st in C class. Concurrent notables included Max Bunning, Dylan Burns, Gabe Markworth, Nate Wannebo, Cal Munkvold, and Craig Mortenson.

In 5-Stand, Parker Field was 1st in AA and Steve Jensen was 2nd. Paul Wiederholt was 2nd in C, while Al Duce was 3rd. Concurrent class notables were Max Bunning, Parker Field, Gabe Markworth, Cal Munkvold, and Steve Jensen.

Results in Super Sporting included Max Bunning (T. 2nd in B), Chad Ruiz (2nd C), and in concurrent Max Bunning, Dylan Burns, Nate Wannebo, Parker Field, and Curt Halbakken.

In the True Pair event, Chad Ruiz took 1st in C, and Al Duce took 3rd.
